Campus Ministry at Thomas More University

The mission of Campus Ministry at Thomas More University is to invite the entire University community to engage in a journey of discovery of a friendship with God by infusing prayer, presence, and programming through sacramental, cultural, and co-curricular initiatives and drawing upon the Catholic Intellectual Tradition to form the whole person: mind, body, and soul.

While maintaining a Catholic identity, Campus Ministry is open and inviting to everyone, embracing the mission of Thomas More, which is as follows:

Thomas More University is the Catholic Liberal Arts University of the Diocese of Covington, Kentucky.  Inspired by the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, we challenge students of all faiths to examine the ultimate meaning of life, their place in the world, and their responsibility to others.

Campus Ministry?

There is something for every student here at Thomas More.

The following types of programs are available:

Students enjoy free coffee while listening to an inspiring life story by a University faculty or staff member. Students of all beliefs attend and are able to share and engage in our community where you find common grounds.

Attend a candle-lit service of Eucharistic Adoration accompanied by student-led music to encounter Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Students can serve as an extraordinary minister of holy communion, lector, server, or sing or play in our Sunday mass choir.

Take the opportunity to grow closer to God, hang out with friends, and escape from the stress of everyday life. Watch for flyers and signups around campus.

This group plans events that welcome students from other countries and cultural backgrounds so they can feel at home. Be on the lookout for flyers!

This group puts on worship nights with live Christian music played by students. Come and sing along to praise the Lord!

Pro-Life group focused on raising awareness about the sanctity and dignity of human life through prayer, volunteering, and social activism.

This group exists to bring students closer through social events and to provide opportunities that allow students to explore and go deeper on their spiritual journey.

Spread love in solidarity to those in need by participating in different service projects with organizations in our local community. See the calendar for service events.

Weekly opportunities available to students to engage with their peers and see how Christianity bears on all aspects of life. These opportunities range from book studies, sports, mass, prayer, and more!

One vital aspect of our ministry is student leadership. If you are interested in serving in peer ministry, visit our Bishop Foys Scholars Program.

Mary, Seat of Wisdom Chapel

Catholic identity is vibrant on campus: Mary, Seat of Wisdom Chapel

The Thomas More University‘s Mary, Seat of Wisdom Chapel, built in 2012, is the literal geographic center of campus. As explained during on-campus tours for prospective students: “we build on Jesus.”  He is literally and figuratively at the center of campus. Many students, faculty, staff, alumni, and campus visitors spend time in the Chapel anytime from early morning until late at night. A 24/7 meditation room is available in a secure environment. For more information about the Chapel, CLICK HERE.
