Loan Entrance Counseling

All students who borrow Direct Student Loans are required to complete Loan Entrance Counseling. This is a federal requirement, and students cannot receive any Direct Student Loan funds until they have completed the counseling.

To complete Entrance Counseling, go to studentaid.gov.

  • Log in using your FSA ID (username and password used for the FAFSA)
  • Click the “Loans and Grants” dropdown menu, followed by “Loan Entrance Counseling”
  • Click “Start” next to the Entrance Counseling section
