Dual Credit Orientation Guidance

Students who have been admitted and registered for Thomas More’s Dual Credit Program are required to review the Dual Credit Orientation, hosted on Canvas.

Students, their parents/guardians, and high school administrators can access this orientation by going to the link below:

There is no login required to access this orientation. However, students will need to be enrolled and receive their TMU login information from their counselor (or email the DC program at [email protected]) to access many features within the orientation such as myTMU, TMU Email, Canvas (for your classes), etc.

Once you view the orientation, you’ll be able to find information in the following modules:

  • Module 0: Introduction to the DC Orientation
  • Module 1: Preparing for your classes and dual credit
    • This module features: password/email/Canvas set up, how to view your schedule, how to view or pay your tuition, how to purchase your textbooks, and how to read a syllabus. Estimated Cost of Attendance 
  • Module 2: An overview of the TMU Dual Credit Program
    • This module features: program policies, viewing your grades, ordering transcripts / information for seniors, and our TMU Dual Credit Pathways.
  • Module 3: Responsibilities and expectations
    • This module features: process for accessibility and accommodations, our academic calendar, and DC student outcomes
  • Module 4: Student Support
    • This module features: what campus resources are available to students in the DC program, tutoring information, and how to get your student ID card
  • Optional Module 5: Students with classes on TMU’s Campus
    • This module features: how to park on campus and information about our optional campus open house
  • Optional Module 6: Students with classes online
    • This module features: tips and tricks for navigating and achieving success in your online course(s)
