Middle School ECO STEM camp is a two-day summer camp for rising middle schoolers from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., June 18 and 19, 2025 at the Biology Field Station. There is a camp fee of $50 which covers a t-shirt, snacks, and all activities. Camp is perfect for students interested in aquatic biology, environmental science, and being outdoors! Campers should bring a packed lunch and water bottle to camp each day. Biology Field Station faculty, staff, and undergraduate interns lead camp programming, and all programs happen on site at the Station (8330 Mary Ingles Hwy, California, KY 41007). Early drop-off or later pick-up may be available upon request. Activities may include guided hikes, eco-art, boat rides, river sweeps, stream surveys, fishing, helping feed our research animals, looking at algae under microscopes, and more! Objectives of our middle school camp are to learn more about aquatic biology, local conservation, and pique students’ interest in the fields of ecology and environmental science by having fun on the river. Reach out to Molly Williams ([email protected]) for any questions.
