Patricia Raverty, M.F.A.
Department Chair, Associate Professor
Professor Raverty joined the Drama Department of Thomas More College in 1987. She was hired to develop the Speech Communication Program within the Drama Department. In 1993 she developed a degree program in Speech Communication and continued to teach in the area of rhetoric and public speaking. Today her areas of interest are rhetorical theory, persuasion, political communication and public presentation. She still enjoys listening to student’s presentations and watching students gain confidence and skill in public speaking. She also occasionally teaches a course in the Theatre Program.
Professor Raverty lives on a farm in Rabbit Hash, Kentucky and enjoys watching the Ohio River while reading a good mystery novel.
