Rules of Conduct

Campus & Grounds

  1. Alteration or physical modification of property owned or leased by TMC is not permitted. To prevent damage to the College infrastructure, the Director of Facilities must approve the erection of tents or any temporary structures.
  2. The organizer must have all signs and/or decorations used for a scheduled event on the grounds/campus of TMC approved by the Director of Facilities.
  3. The organizer of the event shall be responsible for addressing issues such as special power requirements, access to restrooms, adequate waste receptacles, and inclement weather sites.
  4. Any group or individual who causes damages to College property must pay any charges necessary to return the property to its original state; College employees, students or organizations may also be subject to disciplinary action.
  5. Event organizers are responsible for notifying parties potentially affected by their event sound levels or activities. The College may approve lower sound levels in locations surrounding Crestview Hills residential areas.
  6. In compliance with Kentucky State Law, students, faculty, staff or guests of TMC under the age of 21 are not permitted to consume or possess alcohol on College property or at college-sponsored events at any time.

Connor Convocation Center

The athletic facilities are in operation for use by the students, staff, faculty of TMC, and guests. In order to maintain these facilities so that their optimum use can be realized, a conscientious effort must be made not to abuse this facility. This can be accomplished by following the guidelines set forth below:

  1. All persons using the facility must be dressed in proper athletic attire at all times (e.g., shorts, shirt, warm-ups, sneakers).
  2. Athletic shoes (sneakers) are to be worn on the gym floor at all times. Wet sneakers from outdoors will not be allowed in the Center.
  3. There will be no smoking in any area of the building.
  4. All dressing and undressing must be done in the locker rooms.
  5. All accidents should be reported to the Athletic Center Supervisor or Security.
  6. Anyone found abusing equipment will be asked to leave and appropriate action will be taken.
  7. All athletic equipment must remain in the building.
  8. All persons must present their I.D. card or contract agreement for use of the facility and equipment.
  9. Consistent with TMC educational mission, first priority for use of facilities shall go to college entities, and the college reserves the right to modify or cancel reservations accordingly.

Campus & Grounds

The Thomas More College Bank of Kentucky Field is in operation for use by the students, staff, faculty of TMC, and their guests. In order to maintain the turf field so the optimum use can be realized, a conscientious effort must be made not to abuse the property. This can be accomplished by following the guidelines set forth below:

Rental Guidelines:

  1. A Thomas More College Game Manager must be present during all events.
  2. A Thomas More College Football Game Manager fee will be required for all events.
  3. Tickets sales will be the responsibility of the Renter.
  4. All concession stands will be operated by Thomas More College.
  5. Operation of the game clock will be the responsibility of the Renter
  6. Rental of Locker Rooms will be an additional charge per event, if available.
  7. Chains for football games will be provided by and operated by the renter
  8. Security for football games and other games will be determined by the College. Should the College determine the need for police at an event the person in charge of the event will be responsible for contracting the required number of police officers.

Rules:

  • No seeds or gum while on the field
  • No bands or music for games
  • No coolers, pets or alcohol
  • No sound system other than announcing teams
  • No tailgating at any event

Residence Halls

  1. There will be "No Smoking" in any area of the residence halls.
  2. No signs and/or decorations are permitted unless previously approved.
  3. No one is permitted on the roof of any residence hall for any reason.
  4. Furniture must be kept in its place in the facilities and is not permitted outside the buildings or moved from room to room.
  5. Placing of tape or stickers on chairs, tables, floors or walls is prohibited. Posters or signs can be taped to the brick wall only.
  6. Noise disturbances are to be avoided on the campus and around the residence halls. Event organizers are responsible for notifying the College of potentially excessive sound levels or activities before the start of the Event.
  7. The unauthorized use or unwarranted use of a fire alarm is a serious threat to life and is grounds for immediate removal of a person from the campus. In addition, charges may be filed with the local police department.
  8. College regulations forbid the use of any and all fireworks or incendiary devices.
  9. Water fights, water balloons and snowball throwing are strictly prohibited in the residence halls.
  10. Guests of Thomas More College residence halls are expected to conduct themselves as responsible members of the college community. Those whose conduct demonstrates disrespect for the law, the rights of others, or the health, welfare and safety of themselves and others will be asked to leave the campus immediately.

Chancellor's Room/Steigerwald Hall

  1. The Chancellor's Room and Steigerwald Hall are rented individually and the public spaces surrounding these areas are not considered part of the rental agreement unless previously approved.
  2. Glitter, sand, confetti, abrasive materials, birdseed or rice are not permitted to be used for any purpose.
  3. No one is permitted on the roof of any residence hall for any reason.
  4. Bubbles and bubble machines are prohibited.
  5. Placing of tape or stickers on chairs, tables, floors or walls is prohibited. Posters or signs can be taped to brick walls only.
  6. Nothing shall be hung from the ceilings. Decorations can be hung from light fixtures if pre-approved.
  7. All candles must be enclosed in glass containers by order of the Fort Mitchell Fire Department.
  8. No smoking or cigar toasts are permitted. Thomas More College is smoke free with designated smoking areas.
  9. Bartenders are required when serving alcoholic beverages. (See Exhibit D for details)
  10. Bartenders are responsible for cleaning the bar area, emptying ice tubs and storage of all alcoholic beverages.
  11. Hours of your event are specified in the Facilities Rental Agreement. All events must end no later than 1:00 am. Please leave the premises promptly and safely.
  12. TMC Public Safety will be checking periodically during the hours of the event.
