Financial Aid

Projected Tuition Rate - $460 per credit hour – Locked in rate for two years*

Students must be officially admitted to the MAT Program and be enrolled for at least six (6) credit hours to be eligible for loans. Institutional scholarships are not available for graduate students.

Federal Financial Aid
In addition to state, college and private sources, financial help with your education is available from the Federal government. The U.S. Department of Education has created a variety of assistance programs available to all eligible students. Federal financial aid is available in the form of grants, loans, and work-study programs for qualifying students. In each case, application for Federal assistance begins with completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applications are available online at The following are possible sources for financial aid assistance:

Stafford Student Loan (Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans)

  • Current Interest Rate:
    • 6.8% for Graduate Student Unsubsidized Loan
    • 4.5% for Graduate Student Subsidized Loan
    • Can be awarded up to $20,500 per year
    • Repayment begins six (6) months after program completion
  • Federal Work Study:
    • May work on or off campus

TEACH Grant:

  • $4,000 per year for qualified students who work in a high need area in a school serving low income students; service required

Non-Federal Assistance:

  • Private alternative loans; credit-based; interest rates vary
