Ask A Librarian
Library staff are happy to render reference and research assistance to Thomas More College students, faculty and staff in-person or through a variety of other means. In-person assistance is available during most of the Library’s open hours (except for Sunday), either by appointment or on a walk-in basis. If the Reference Librarian or another regular staff member is not at the circulation/reference desk, please go to the offices located in the back left corner on the Library’s entry level. Reference appointments or research consultations can be scheduled by contacting the Reference Librarian at (859) 344-3615 or by calling the Library’s main number at (859) 344-3300.
The Reference Librarian and other staff can be reached by e-mail at the addresses listed under Contact Us on the Library’s website, but a generic e-mail address (firstname.lastname@example.org) is also available. E-mail reference questions are normally answered within 24 hours. Please click on the link above for assistance.
For less-detailed or short answer questions, the Library provides instant message service. Please use the chat reference box on the right side of this page for assistance. When the Reference Librarian is online, sign in where you see the words “Enter Your Name Here,” and then click on the “Chat” button. If the words “I’m not logged in” appear in the box, the Reference Librarian is offline. In that case, please try again during normal business hours, or use the Library’s reference e-mail address.
