Early Admissions Program
High school students who are able to take classes on Thomas More's campus may register in the Early Admissions Program.
Thomas More College offers two faculty options for secondary schools that participate in Gemini. Typically, a member of the high school's faculty who meets the criteria set by the Southern Association of College's and Schools will teach the course, sometimes in an Honors or Advanced Placement format. Our faculty members must have a minimum of either a Masters Degree in the subject taught, or a Masters Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the subject taught.
Gemini faculty members will work with the appropriate department chairs at Thomas More College, just as adjunct instructors on campus do. At a minimum, the syllabus and textbook must be approved by the appropriate department chairperson. All chairpersons are willing to support Gemini faculty and are prepared to work with them in sharing the college's expectations for course content, grading criteria and examination strategies.
In certain situations, a TMC faculty member will teach a TMC course on the high school campus. This is dependent on factors such as location and scheduling.
